Our Story
Save Your Vote was founded in 2020 through a collaboration between the Palast Investigative Fund, Thom Hartmann, George and Leonardo DiCaprio, Yvette Nicole Brown, Debra Messing, and Black Voters Matter Fund.
Together we helped tens of thousands of purge victims re-register to vote — specifically in Georgia and Wisconsin — and launched the investigation into voter roll purges that would become the backbone of this campaign.
The Palast Investigative Fund
The Palast Investigative Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting the investigative journalism of Greg Palast — the reporter who broke the story of the fraudulent Florida felon purge list that decided the 2000 presidential election, who exposed Interstate Crosscheck, and who has spent 26 years chasing vote suppression across America.
Palast has reported for the BBC, The Guardian, Rolling Stone, and other outlets. His films include The Best Democracy Money Can Buy, The Purged, Vigilantes Inc., and Jim Crow Reloaded.

Our Legal Team
Gerald Griggs — President, NAACP Atlanta. Famed trial lawyer known for exposing R. Kelly. Voting rights attorney who defeated Georgia Governor Brian Kemp in federal court on behalf of the Palast Investigative Fund and Helen Butler and the Georgia Coalition for the People's Agenda.
CK Hoffler — Chairwoman, RainbowPUSH Coalition. Accomplished trial lawyer and, since 2020, President of the National Bar Association. Represented the late Reverend Jesse Jackson.
Fred Gray — the civil rights attorney who represented Rosa Parks and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during the Montgomery Bus Boycott, and later the Selma-to-Montgomery marchers.
Mirer Mazzocchi & Julien — international human rights attorneys. Jeanne Mirer is co-chair of the National Lawyers Guild's International Committee. Co-counsel with Griggs on the winning case to expose Georgia's secret vote suppression documents.
What We Do
We obtain and publish state voter purge lists so that citizens can find out if their registration has been cancelled — and fight back before it's too late.
The site also provides the Klan Detector — an investigative tool that traces modern voter suppression tactics back to their Klan-era origins — and resources for voters, organizers, and journalists.
We are partnered with RainbowPUSH Coalition, Black Voters Matter Fund, the Atlanta NAACP, the Southwest Voter Registration Education Project, and the Transformative Justice Coalition.
